Hey everyone, I've been following Martha Teran's case and something that's been on my mind is how utterly terrifying it must have been for her children. I can't imagine witnessing such a traumatic event and then having to identify the shooter. The strength it must have taken for her daughter to speak up and provide a suspect description—I have so much respect for her courage. It's just so sad that they have to carry this memory forever. I really hope they’re receiving the love and support they need to find some peace. If anything, Martha’s story underlines the importance of taking extra precautions with online sales. My thoughts are continually with those she loved.

Hi everyone, I've been thinking a lot about the aspect of safety during online transactions, especially after hearing about Martha Teran's case. It's incredibly unsettling to imagine how quickly a simple meeting can turn dangerous. My heart truly goes out to Martha's family; none of us can fully understand the pain they must be enduring. What really hits home for me is considering the impact on her children, having been there at the time. Witnessing such a horrific event must have been incredibly traumatic for them. I hope they're receiving the support they need to heal, though I know the road ahead will be long and difficult. For anyone using apps like OfferUp, please, let's all remind each other about the importance of meeting in well-populated, safe locations, preferably during daylight, and ideally at places with security cameras, like police station parking lots. We can't be too careful these days. Stay safe out there, folks. Edit: If anyone knows of organizations or support groups that help families affected by such tragedies, please share. It'd be great to spread the word and let their family know we care.
