I’ve been following the case of Oscar Salazar for a while now, and one thing that really stood out to me was the role witnesses played in the quick arrest of Nelson Segovia-Amaya. The fact that people were able to provide a description of the vehicle Segovia-Amaya was driving is a reminder of how crucial it is for communities to work together. It's truly remarkable how fast law enforcement was able to act, thanks to those who came forward. My heart goes out to Oscar’s family; I can’t imagine the pain they’re going through. But I also hope they find some comfort in knowing that the community played a part in bringing some level of justice to their son's case. Anyone else feel like the witnesses deserve more recognition for their part in this?
