I've been reading about Jerome Forney's tragic death and can't help but think about the fear he must have felt during those final moments. The fact that he tried to avoid conflict by leaving the plaza shows his intent to de-escalate the situation. It's deeply unsettling to realize how quickly things can spiral out of control when violence is involved. I hope that the witnesses who might have seen something that day find the courage to come forward. Jerome’s loved ones deserve answers and justice. It’s awful that yet another young person was taken too soon. My heart goes out to his family and friends as they navigate this tough time.
