Hey everyone,
I was reading about the tragic case of Lonnell Dortch and LaShaun Holmes from back in 2012, and something's been nagging at me. Has anyone else looked into the significance of Annetta Street as a crime location? I mean, was it just a random spot, or did it have any sort of connection to the victims or known criminal activity?
From what I've gathered, it seems the area might have had a few incidents around that time, but I'm just thinking if maybe Dortch and Holmes had any ties there beyond the surface. It could potentially be a key point in understanding why the crime happened there and possibly lead to identifying people who frequent or know the area well.
My heart goes out to the families who are still left without answers after all these years. It's just baffling how something so violent could happen, and yet there's so little to go on. I hope the community keeps pushing for justice and that anyone with information, even if it feels like a small detail, comes forward. All those little pieces could add up to something meaningful.
Would love to hear if anyone else has thoughts or additional info on Annetta Street's history or significance!
Stay safe, everyone.
Hey fellow sleuths,
I was reading about the tragic case of Lonnell Dortch and LaShaun Holmes. What got me thinking is the lack of CCTV footage mentioned in any reports. North St. Louis isn’t exactly an area without cameras—businesses, traffic lights, and even private residences might have captured something around Annetta Street on that night in 2012.
I’ve read cases where years later, someone sifts through old footage or previously overlooked security tapes and it provides a critical lead. I wonder if there have been any efforts to collect or review such footage from that area, or if any traffic cams might have captured vehicles involved?
It's tough to imagine the pain Shirley Holmes and both families are feeling, having to wait so long for answers. I truly believe there might be something in archival footage, even if from a distance or indirect angle. Hopefully, someone with info will come forward or re-examine any overlooked material.
Anyone else have thoughts on this?
Every year, seeing the vigils held by the families of Lonnell Dortch and LaShaun Holmes serves as a powerful reminder that time doesn't erase the loss felt by their loved ones. I can't even imagine the strength it takes for Shirley Holmes to continue pushing for answers, knowing how many years have passed without any leads or arrests.
It really makes me think about the impact community involvement can have in these situations. Authorities often emphasize how critical it is for people to come forward with even the smallest piece of information. Sometimes, it feels like maybe someone saw or heard something back then but didn’t think it was important enough to report.
I'm curious if anyone on this forum lives in the St. Louis area or remembers anything specific about that time, like unusual activity on Annetta Street around the date of the incident. Even the smallest detail might make all the difference. Let's keep these discussions going to support the families and, hopefully, move towards getting them the answers they deserve.
