Hey everyone, I’ve been thinking a lot about the community’s role in cold cases, especially after looking deeper into the tragic case of James Coleman Crump from St. Louis. It’s really sad how many of these cases linger without resolution. I can't help but wonder how much untapped info is still out there that could potentially shed new light on what happened to him.
I mean, we often overlook how powerful collective memory can be. People move, memories fade, but sometimes there’s that one little piece of the puzzle someone might not even realize is important. If anyone here has experience with local advocacy groups or knows how Crime Stoppers can make an impact, I’d love to hear your thoughts. Maybe engaging more actively with the community could help generate leads that no resources or tech could.
Also, does anyone know if the SLMPD has any initiatives to keep these cases in the public eye? I think that could be a crucial step in encouraging someone to come forward. It must be incredibly tough for James’s family and others who are still waiting for answers. Let’s keep discussing and see how we might be able to support the process.
