Hey everyone, I was curious if anyone has any insights on the safety measures in place around boating near Antioch, California. Since David O'Brien's disappearance on July 1st, I've been thinking about the local protocols. It just seems like such a tragic turn of events given that neither he nor his friend wore life jackets. Does anyone know if there are signs or regulations enforcing life vest use on the San Joaquin River, especially for smaller vessels like that 20-footer? It seems like maybe more awareness or enforcement could help prevent future tragedies. Any thoughts or local input on this would be invaluable. Stay safe out there!
