Has anyone else looked into the financial angle of John Deveau’s disappearance? I read that his ATM card had been stolen, and a whopping $30,000 was taken from his account. It just makes me wonder how well people in his life knew about his finances and if there was someone else involved who perhaps guided or influenced Malinka behind the scenes. It seems incredibly risky to steal such a large amount from a neighbor and then still remain in the area. Could there have been more people in the building complex with a grudge or someone who might benefit from John going missing? Curious if anyone has delved into this side of the mystery.
Does anyone else find it strange that Thomas Malinka led authorities to two different locations for John Deveau's remains? I can't help but wonder if he was intentionally misleading them. It's frustrating that only partial remains were found, and I keep thinking about why Malinka might have given multiple locations. Maybe he was trying to avoid a definitive murder charge, or perhaps he wanted to confuse the investigation. It makes me question what else he's hiding and if there are more pieces of evidence out there that could give John’s family some closure. What are your thoughts on this? Could there be more to Malinka's story, or am I just overthinking this?
