I was reading up on the Alexus Mares case again, and I keep coming back to the hurricane's impact on the investigation. It's such a sorrowful thought that amidst the chaos of something like Hurricane Harvey, crucial details might've slipped through the cracks or witnesses became unreachable. The timing couldn’t have been worse. I truly feel for her family, having to fight so hard for attention on her case when so much else was going on in the city. It must be incredibly difficult to push for answers when nature itself seems to be working against you. I sincerely hope someone, somewhere, remembers something or steps up with new information. Alexus deserves justice, and her family deserves peace.

I can't stop thinking about the impact Hurricane Harvey might have had on the investigation into Alexus Mares's tragic death. It's devastating that such a catastrophic event could overshadow a case like this, possibly hindering the pursuit of justice for her and her family. I can't imagine the frustration and pain her loved ones must be feeling, having to contend with not only their loss but also the feeling of being overlooked in the chaos that followed the storm. What's tough to swallow here is how a natural disaster, something completely unrelated yet massive in its own right, could inadvertently slow down the gears of justice. It's like Alexus became a secondary story amid so many others during and after Harvey. I hope people still have tips or information to share and feel encouraged to come forward. It’s never too late to help bring closure to her family. They deserve that, just as Alexus deserved to celebrate many more birthdays. If you know anything, please reach out. Every bit helps, and it might be the key to finally getting the attention and answers this case needs.
