I've been following the case of Erick Diablo Zelaya and Iris Chirinos for a while now, and one detail that really sticks with me is the chilling method Acosta-Ojeda used to dispose of evidence. It's almost incomprehensible how someone could be so cold and calculating. I can't help but think about the families and how unimaginable this must be for them. Leaving someone's head close to a popular walking trail, especially near such a prominent location like AT&T Stadium, shows a level of disregard that I just can't wrap my head around. It's a relief knowing that Acosta-Ojeda is facing the consequences for his horrific actions, but the loss for the families and those who knew Erick and Iris is immense. Their memory deserves to be honored, and I hope they find some peace and comfort amidst this nightmare.
