I'm still so shaken by the details of this case. My heart goes out to Meredith's friends and family, as well as everyone else impacted by this unthinkable tragedy. I've been thinking about the courage it must have taken for Meredith to file for divorce given the history of abuse. It’s truly devastating that her attempt to move forward and create a safer life was met with such horror. She seemed like such a welcoming person, always opening her home to the people she cared about. It’s gut-wrenching that such a joyous occasion was turned into a nightmare. How do we protect those who are trying to leave toxic situations from such tragic endings? This case really underscores the vital importance of addressing domestic violence and having better systems of support in place. Sending strength and love to everyone affected.
