I’ve been thinking a lot about the neighborhood where Nicholas was killed. It’s tough to read that another young person lost their life in such a tragic way. I remember there were community vigils held shortly after the incident, with people coming together to support Nicholas's family and call for an end to violence. It was moving to see the community rally like that, but it’s frustrating to know that the root issues still persist. I sincerely hope that these calls for peace lead to real change because no family should have to experience what Nicholas’s has gone through. His story sadly isn't unique, but maybe it's the one that finally pushes for a safer Longview. Sending strength to his loved ones. ?
