I’ve been looking into the Sollie Lee Harris case, and one thing that really stands out to me is the community’s potential role in solving it. I know this happened a few years ago, but sometimes people come forward much later with information they initially thought was insignificant. If anyone was around that area on Long Point Drive on August 21, 2017, and saw something, even if it seemed minor back then, it could be the missing piece that helps.
It's unbelievably tough for the family and friends left behind, knowing the case is unsolved. Many times in these forums, I’ve seen how vital community tips can be. I really hope people in Houston can come together to pass any information they might have to the authorities. It’s important that we all do our part to seek justice for Sollie and support his loved ones in finding closure. If you were near Long Point Drive that day or know someone who might have been, please reach out to HPD or Crime Stoppers. Every little bit helps.
I came across this case while browsing through some old files, and I can’t help but think about the fact that it’s been years and still, no arrests have been made for the murder of Sollie Lee Harris. It’s gut-wrenching to think that his family is still waiting for answers and justice. Has anyone heard if there was any additional evidence collected after the initial investigation, or if there were any witnesses who might come forward with new information? I believe someone out there knows more than they’re letting on. It’s just so sad that the life of a man who was simply going about his day was cut short in such a horrific way. Let’s keep his family in our thoughts and hope that increased awareness might help bring some closure. If you’ve heard anything, even seemingly small details could be significant, please consider reaching out to the authorities.
