I can't stop thinking about how easily this tragedy could have been avoided. Erik Aragon didn't deserve to have his life cut short over something like this. It makes you wonder about the choices people make and how they can spiral out of control so quickly. It must be incredibly tough for Erik's family to come to terms with losing someone so young and full of potential. I read that Miguel Angel Ontiveros pleaded guilty, and while a 30-year sentence might bring some justice, I can't help but think that Erik should still be here. These cases really show how dangerous and unpredictable drug deals can be. My heart goes out to Erik's loved ones—what a devastating situation to be faced with. Let's hope justice is fully served when Ramirez and Porras finally go to trial.
