I’ve been following the Sutherland Springs case closely, and something that's been on my mind a lot recently is Lula's incredible legacy within her church community. I came across some comments from fellow church-goers who spoke about how Lula was always the first to volunteer for church events and outreach programs. Her dedication was beyond inspiring. She apparently organized the church's annual Thanksgiving food drive for years, and it's touching to see how she went out of her way to ensure everyone felt welcomed and loved. It’s gut-wrenching to think about how such a pillar of the community was taken in such a senseless act of violence. I can't help but wonder about the gaps in reporting that allowed this to happen in the first place. How many more lives have to be shattered before real change is made? Families, including Lula's, deserve more than just thoughts and prayers—they deserve accountability and a commitment to preventing these failures in the future. Sending so much love and strength to Lula’s family. I hope her legacy inspires positive change and continues to be a guiding light for everyone who knew her. If any of you have more stories of the amazing things Lula did for her community, please share. It's important we remember and honor her impact.
