I've been thinking a lot about the strength and bravery of Joann Ward during the Sutherland Springs tragedy. The fact that she used her own body to shield her children during such a terrifying moment speaks volumes about her as a mother and a person. It's incredibly moving to hear about such selfless acts, even during the darkest times. I can't even begin to imagine the pain and grief that Emily's family is enduring, and my heart truly goes out to them. It's important that we continue to remember these heroes and the beautiful lives lost on that day. It breaks my heart to think of what could have been for Emily and her family. I'm hopeful that justice in some form will come, and we can move towards ensuring something like this never happens again.
