I can't stop thinking about how tight-knit gated communities are supposed to be safe havens, yet tragedies like what happened to Jenny and Bao Lam remind us that nowhere is completely safe. The audacity of the suspects to repeatedly enter their home undetected is chilling. It’s a heavy thought that there could be individuals among us planning such heinous acts, regardless of the security measures in place. My heart goes out to the Lams' children, Michelle and Richard. I can’t even begin to imagine the trauma of losing both parents in such a brutal way. Their courage in seeking justice is truly inspiring, and I hope it leads to peace and closure for them. It's important that communities rally together to support the survivors and remain vigilant in efforts to prevent such tragedies. Stay strong, everyone.
