Hey everyone, I've been following Cook's case for a while now, and I can't help but wonder about the hitchhiking angle. I know it's a long shot, but has anyone dug into any reports of hitchhikers or sightings between Colorado and Kansas around the time Cook disappeared in 2013? Even though it's kind of a needle in a haystack situation, sometimes these kinds of details get overlooked. If he mentioned potentially heading to Wellington or Wichita, maybe someone along those routes saw something odd or unusual? It’s frustrating that there aren’t more leads on this front. Just seems like a small chance that someone might have a memory jogged by a mention here. What do you all think?
I’ve been following the Cook case for a while now, and something that's been on my mind is why no one seems to be looking into potential sightings in Wellington or Wichita, Kansas. It's odd to me how there isn't more discussion about whether he hitchhiked there or if anyone in those areas might remember picking him up. It seems like a key piece that could be pivotal, especially considering he didn’t have his wallet or belongings. Has anyone seen any reports from people in those areas around the time he disappeared? Just seems strange that someone can vanish into thin air like that. Anyone else have thoughts on this angle?
Does anyone remember hearing about any hitchhikers being picked up around Pueblo back in August 2013? Cook apparently mentioned heading out to either Wellington or Wichita in Kansas, or maybe even California, but it’s unclear if he actually made it there. I’ve always found it puzzling that this kind of detail never leads anywhere. Somebody must have seen something, right? Hitchhiking might not be as common these days, but people still do it, and surely someone could have crossed paths with him. Just seems surprising nobody's come forward with info. What are the chances he successfully hitchhiked all the way out to another state without any sightings?
