I’ve been following the case of Gloria Segura-Cruz and her husband, Daniel, and one thing that really sticks out to me is how the community is coping with the aftermath. Fabens is such a tight-knit town, and it seems like everyone knew Gloria and Daniel. Can you imagine how hard it is for the neighbors and friends? It’s like losing a family member. I read somewhere that they’d been married over 30 years, which is such a long time to be together. It's just so hard to wrap my head around how something like this could happen in a community where everyone is so connected. I hope those closest to them have a strong support system to lean on during such a bewildering time.
