Wow, this case is so unsettling, especially hearing about it from the perspective of Pedro, the couple's son. I can’t even begin to imagine the absolute terror he must have felt hiding in that bathroom, hearing everything that's happening. His quick thinking and bravery surely saved his own life and possibly his sister's. This young man had to grow up far too soon, and my heart goes out to him and his sister as they navigate life after such a traumatic event. It’s a small relief to know that he was able to identify Wheeler, which helped bring some accountability. But honestly, no amount of sentencing can ever truly make up for what they’ve lost. I hope the community and family can rally around these kids and offer them the support they’ll need for years to come.

Hey everyone, I've been thinking a lot about the role the son played in identifying Trebor Wheeler, especially considering the trauma he must have endured during the home invasion. It's incredibly brave of him to come forward, even with all he's been through. I can't imagine how terrifying it must have been to hide in that bathroom, hoping and praying to stay safe while his parents were facing such danger. Recognizing Wheeler by his eyes and hair was crucial in helping the authorities piece together what happened. It must be so hard for him, carrying that memory and having to relive it to help with the investigation. Sending my thoughts to him and his sister; they deserve all the support and strength from the community. If anyone has any resources we might share with them, like counseling services specialized for families of crime victims, it might be worth discussing here. Let’s keep supporting each other and them as much as we can. Stay safe, everyone.
