This whole situation with Tiffany McKnight is just so shocking and senseless. I can’t stop thinking about the fact that she had gotten groceries for her family’s dinner that night. It really hits home how everyday errands can turn into something unimaginably tragic in an instant. Her sister's account of being on FaceTime and hearing Tiffany in her final moments is something no one should ever have to go through. Victoria's strength in sharing this part of the story is immense, and my heart goes out to her and the rest of her family. It's the kind of real-life horror you don't expect to happen to anyone, let alone someone who's just out there hustling for her child and her future. How could anyone meet such a simple request for help with such violence? Hugging my loved ones a little tighter tonight.
