I’ve been following Gary Dean Patton’s case for a while now, and something keeps bugging me about the exact timeline of his activities before he vanished. I mean, he was initially having a great time in Baja—surfing, fishing, camping—but was anyone with him during those days? Most of the information out there just mentions him, but there’s no real account of who he might've been interacting with. Did he make any local friends or bump into any other travelers while down there? It feels like a missed opportunity in the investigation to track down people who might have briefly crossed paths with him. If anyone has insights or can dig up anything about who he might have been hanging out with, that might shed some light or lead law enforcement to unexplored clues.
