I wanted to talk about the bravery Yesenia Gutierrez showed during that terrifying moment. It's beyond words how courageous she was to stand up to those intruders to protect her little boy. As a parent, I'm just in awe of her instinct to shield him despite the danger she faced. I can't even begin to imagine how her husband, Carlos, must be coping with everything, finding Yesenia like that. The fact that those kids were so young, yet involved in such a heinous act, shows what a complicated issue we're dealing with regarding youth and gang involvement. I'm hoping justice for Yesenia will serve as a wake-up call for the community to address these issues. I keep thinking about her family and hope they find strength and support during this time. ??
