Hey everyone, has anyone else been pondering the possibility that Mr. Mandrell might have tried retracing steps to a familiar place? I remember reading that he had wandered to Alton, Illinois once before. Given his Alzheimer's, it wouldn’t be surprising if he tried heading toward an area from his past he considered significant or comforting. Could he have had other meaningful locations he might have attempted to visit, even if they were further away? Also, considering his glaucoma, visibility issues might have complicated things. If someone local has insight into areas he used to frequent, it might be worth examining those spots again or spreading more awareness among folks in those areas. His clothing details are rather distinctive, so hopefully, that might trigger someone's memory if they happened to see him. Thoughts?

Has anyone looked into the possibility that R.V. might have used public transportation to travel further away from home? Given his previous wandering to Alton, it seems plausible. Public transport can be confusing, especially with Alzheimer's, but it's one angle that might not have been thoroughly explored. If he hopped on a bus, maybe he could have ended up somewhere unexpected. Just a thought - maybe worth checking if any drivers remember a passenger matching his description around the time he went missing? Keeping my fingers crossed for any updates on this case.
