R.V. Mandrell, 82 years old at the time, was last seen on October 1, 2013, at his home in Clayton, Missouri. He left his residence in the 1700 block of New Jamestown Road sometime between the morning and early afternoon hours and has not been heard from since. Mandrell suffered from Alzheimer's disease and glaucoma, which raised concerns about his safety. His family reported him missing later that afternoon, around 4:30 p.m.
