I've been thinking about how Darryl, or "Solo" as his friends called him, was such a devoted father to his two young daughters. It really brings home the personal impact of such a senseless loss. I can't even begin to imagine the strength his family must have had to gather for his wake and funeral services. They were held at New Harvest Baptist Church and Christ Cathedral Church, which must have been filled with people who shared in celebrating his life and mourning his passing.
I hope that as a community, we can continue to support Darryl's family and not let his case go cold. It's so important that we spread awareness and keep demanding answers. His daughters deserve justice for their dad, and we should do all we can to help make that happen for them.
