Did anyone else find it particularly disturbing how Juan Alfredo Alvarez showed no remorse during the trial? I can't imagine how Cheryl Trimmier's family felt hearing his guilty plea without any apology. The fact that Cheryl's sister, Jackie Fabre, had to stand in a courtroom, surrounded by reminders of her sister's murder, without even a hint of remorse from Alvarez, is just mind-boggling to me. It's such a devastating loss for their families, and I hope they find some peace knowing that Alvarez will be serving a long sentence. It's small solace, but perhaps knowing he can't hurt anyone else might bring them some comfort.
