I was digging around some old news archives and found that during the time Noel Davis went missing, there were some reports of sketchy activities around the train routes leading to San Francisco. Apparently, there were a few incidents involving theft and some “transient hobos,” as they called them back in the day, that were preying on travelers. Could Noel have possibly encountered something untoward during his journey? It seems plausible, especially considering the chaos and crowds brought about by the Panama-Pacific International Exposition. Has anyone delved into those police reports or news articles from the areas en route to SF during the November of 1915 for more insights?
