Just came across the details of Roy George Benn's disappearance from 1967, and something's been bothering me about that metallic blue 1963 Buick Electra. Given that Benn's vehicle was never found, I'm curious if anyone knows about any distinctive features or modifications on that car that could've made it stand out more than just the color and model. Was it a common car at the time, or would it have been conspicuous on the road in rural areas?
I know it seems small, but vehicles can sometimes lead to breakthroughs in cold cases. It's astonishing that no one's spotted it or come across it for so many decades. If it was dumped somewhere or altered, there might still be someone out there with vivid memories of an odd, out-of-place car from that time. Does anyone here have more info or theories on how a car like that could just disappear?
Anyone else find the timing of Roy Benn's breakfast at King's Supper Club a bit odd? I mean, 4:00 a.m. is quite early, even for a businessman, unless there were specific meetings or reasons we don’t know about. It makes me wonder if he had a routine he followed or if something different was happening that day. Also, has anyone looked into who else might have been at the club around that time? Maybe someone noticed something unusual or was chatting with him before he set off? Just seems like the start of the day could hold some overlooked clues. Thoughts?
Has anyone else looked into the car angle in the Roy George Benn case? It's puzzling how both he and his Buick Electra disappeared without a trace. Cars are not exactly easy to hide, especially one as distinct as a metallic blue '63 Buick. Have there been any leads on car dealers or junkyards from that time who might remember someone selling or abandoning such a vehicle? It's curious that neither the car nor any parts have ever been found. Maybe something happened to the car that's worth exploring. Thoughts?
