I've been thinking a lot about the role community played in the investigation into Xavier Avila's tragic passing. The fact that witnesses came forward quickly and helped lead to the arrest of Nabor Marquiz Ramos is a testament to the power each of us has in seeking justice. It's moving to see people take action and refuse to let violence go unanswered. It gives hope that communities can truly make a difference when we stand together against senseless acts like this. My heart goes out to Xavier’s family, especially little Aalyah. Losing a father and such a vibrant member of the community is incredibly tough. Let's continue these conversations around preventing gun violence and honor Xavier's legacy by working towards a safer environment for everyone.
