Hi everyone,
I just wanted to share some thoughts on an aspect of the case that’s been on my mind. I can't stop thinking about the neighborhood where the incident happened, 2700 Palo Alto Drive in South Dallas. From what I’ve heard, it's an area that's seen its share of troubles, but also has people working hard to foster a sense of community and safety.
It’s tough to imagine what it’s like living there and facing these threats on a regular basis. I have so much respect for those who are determined to bring about positive change, even when faced with such heavy challenges. I hope this tragedy will inspire even more people to come together and push for peace, not just for Deroyal and Demareyea but for everyone who lives there. The strength of a community can be so powerful in times of crisis.
My heart goes out to those who knew and loved Deroyal and Demareyea. If anyone has insights into how the community is coping or any positive actions being taken, I’d love to hear more about it. Let's keep these discussions going and support one another in seeking justice and healing.
Sending love and strength to all affected.

I’ve been following the case of Deroyal Talley Jr., and there’s one element I find particularly troubling that I wanted to discuss. It breaks my heart to see how violence is claiming so many young lives in our communities. Deroyal was only 19 and seemed to have so much potential, working at McDonald's while juggling school. It's devastating to think about what his family, especially his mom, Joyale, must be going through.
I can’t help but wonder what drives young individuals like Lexington Wright to such drastic actions. I think it’s important for us as a community to consider what we might be able to do to prevent these situations from happening in the first place. Maybe through more community outreach programs or support for at-risk youth? It’s clear we need to foster environments that steer kids away from violence. Our thoughts should be with the victims and their families, and we should strive to honor their memory by working towards a safer community for everyone.
