Just stumbled upon the case of Murua, who went missing back in 1970 while rabbit hunting near Sugarloaf Mountain. What really catches my attention is the location where his car was found. The Datsun 110 was abandoned right at the foot of the mountain. It makes you think—did something happen to him during the early part of his hike? Maybe he never even got started up the mountain? I wonder, has anyone looked into the possibility of whether there were any known wildlife dangers in that area at the time? It’s curious that nothing else has been reported about the scene near his car. Did they find any of his personal belongings nearby? If the car was left unlocked, perhaps it was simply an unfortunate accident that led him into the wilderness, or maybe there was something more sinister? Would love to hear thoughts or additional info if anyone has it!

I've been looking into the Murua disappearance and something that puzzles me is the location where his car was found. Sugarloaf Mountain sounds like the perfect spot for a day of rabbit hunting, but why was the car just left at the foot of the mountain? Did he intend to hike far or did something happen right away? From what I've read, the search teams combed the area thoroughly, yet nothing was found. I'm curious about the condition of the car when they discovered it—was it locked, were there any personal items left inside, or any signs of struggle? If anyone has more info on what was found in or around the car, it could give us more clues.

Hey everyone, I’m new here but I’ve been following Murua’s case and wanted to bring something up that’s been bothering me. Has anyone looked into the weather conditions around Sugarloaf Mountain on July 23, 1970? I feel like environmental factors can sometimes play a significant role in these kinds of cases. If it was particularly harsh or unusual weather that day, it might provide some clues about what could have happened. It seems like a secluded area, so maybe something unexpected in nature could've led to his disappearance or at least complicated the search efforts. Anyone know if this angle has been explored seriously before?
