I've been thinking a lot about the brave actions of the sole survivor in the Livingston tragedy. Can you even imagine the terror she must have felt, hiding in that bedroom with her world collapsing around her? It's hard to wrap my head around the emotional aftermath she's facing. My heart truly goes out to her; losing a daughter, granddaughter, parents, and son-in-law in such a violent manner is unfathomable. I hope the community continues to support her through the healing process. It’s a reminder of the resilience people can find in the darkest circumstances, but also a call for more resources and awareness around domestic violence issues. They deserve our empathy and understanding.
