Do you think it's odd that Cory went to work like nothing happened after the shooting? It seems really chilling to me that he could just carry on with his day while Erik's body was hidden. This kind of behavior makes you question how remorseful he truly was in those immediate hours following the crime. I can't imagine the pain Erik's family must have felt, especially his daughter, knowing what happened and how Cory initially tried to cover it up. It's these little details that make the case feel so much more real and disturbing.
I’ve been thinking a lot about the role mental health might have played in the case of Erik Fernandez. It’s deeply unsettling to imagine that a dispute between roommates could turn so deadly. I wonder if there were any warning signs or unaddressed issues that could have been addressed before the situation escalated to the point of no return.
From what I've read, Jeffery Cory expressed remorse after the fact, which makes me think that there might have been a lot of internal struggles that were overlooked or ignored. It’s such a tragic loss for Erik’s family, especially for his daughter. This situation really emphasizes the importance of seeking help and addressing mental health concerns before they spiral out of control. It’s heartbreaking that Erik’s life was cut short and that his daughter has to grow up without her dad because an argument got so out of hand. My heart goes out to everyone involved.
