Has anyone else been following the updates on Rafael Serrano Núñez's case? It’s so hard to wrap my head around the senselessness of it all. I keep thinking about the fact that Figueroa entered Rafael’s apartment when he was most vulnerable—in the shower. That kind of premeditated confrontation is chilling. What must have been going through Rafael's mind in those final moments? I feel for his family and friends, knowing he had so much of his life ahead of him. It’s deeply unsettling how quickly someone's life can be taken over misguided emotions. It really shows how destructive unchecked jealousy and substance abuse can be. I hope Rafael’s loved ones receive the justice—and peace—they need.
