Has anyone else been thinking about the little one who was there when this awful event happened? Just knowing that Carrie's 18-month-old child was present during such a traumatic incident breaks my heart. I can't even imagine the impact it might have on that child in the future. Thankfully, the child wasn't physically harmed, but I keep wondering about how much they might sense or remember later on. It's such a tough thing to think about.
I've been reading about people who support children through trauma, and I hope this little one is surrounded by loving family and gets all the help and protection they need. If anyone knows more about how the family is doing or if there's a way to send support, please share. It's important we come together as a community to provide love and strength to those affected by this tragedy.
I can’t seem to stop thinking about the little one who was left behind in the aftermath of this tragedy. Just imagining an 18-month-old in the house that night is so haunting. It’s a relief to know that they were unharmed physically, but the emotional weight must be immense. As they grow up, they’ll have so many questions about what happened to their parents. I hope there's a strong support system in place for them, with family or friends who can help them as they grapple with this unimaginable loss. Children are resilient, but this story is just a poignant reminder of how important it is to surround them with love and understanding. My thoughts are with them and all the loved ones of Carrie and Aaron who are left to pick up the pieces.
