Hey everyone, I've been diving into Douglas "Kim" Armstrong's disappearance from Palo Alto back in 1975, and I stumbled upon something intriguing. It seems like the focus has always been on the possibility of him heading to the East Coast or maybe even ending up in Mexico, but here's another angle to consider: his glasses.
At the time he went missing, he was wearing black plastic-framed eyeglasses. Now, not to veer into the overly conspiratorial, but glasses with prescription lenses like those aren't easy to live without if you need them. If he had indeed planned to leave or start anew somewhere, he would've needed replacements eventually.
Has anyone looked into whether optometrists in the area back then saw someone getting a similar prescription around the time he vanished? And what about similar glasses being abandoned or found elsewhere? I haven't seen much discussion on this detail, and it might be a small but significant clue in the grand scheme. Just a thought—curious about what others think!
