Hey everyone, I've been following Margie Lee Phillips’ case for a long time, and something that's always puzzled me is the car situation. Why haven't there been more inquiries about the car they were supposedly in on the day Margie disappeared? If Battles said they were together and then he just “fell asleep,” shouldn't there be more scrutiny on the vehicle itself? Was the car ever searched thoroughly? I've always felt like any physical evidence might still be tied to that car, especially because there aren’t other strong clues. With technology advancing, I wonder if there’s any potential for forensic re-examination. It feels like some part of the story doesn’t add up, and maybe the car could hold clues that weren’t obvious decades ago. Thoughts?
I've been following Margie Lee Phillips' case for a while and wanted to mention something I found a bit odd. I came across some old articles that mention various sightings of her and Willie on U.S. 41 right after the supposed bank visit. It struck me as particularly interesting that none of these sightings were ever followed up with more detailed checks or alibis for Willie. I understand there wasn’t a lot of technology back then for tracking, but it feels like maybe there could've been more done to verify these accounts? Also, I read somewhere that those old highways often had shops or diners nearby. Did anyone ever dig into whether staff at those places saw anything? Curious if they remember who might have been along those routes that day. The more I dive into it, the more questions I have... Maybe someone here has some other angle or information I haven’t considered. What do you think?
Hey everyone, I recently stumbled upon Margie Lee Phillips' case and something that baffles me is the supposed trip to the bank that day. If Margie was indeed planning to withdraw money for a car, why don’t we have any footage or evidence from the bank itself? I know 1976 was a long time ago, and technology wasn’t exactly what it is today, but could there have been witnesses or additional staff working that day who might remember something? It seems strange that Margie could be planning such an important transaction, yet no one at the bank claims to have seen her. Did anyone ever look into other banks in the area that she might have visited instead? Just wondering if there's a missing piece to that part of the story. Thoughts?
