Has anyone considered the possibility that the maroon vehicle wasn't local to the area? It's unnerving to think about, but sometimes these violent acts seem random until you dig a little deeper. If the car wasn’t from North St. Louis, maybe the perpetrators were looking for someone specific and ended up targeting Donivan by mistake. Since it circled back, it seems like they were deliberate, but what if they were initially confused about their target?
Every lead counts, and our hearts really go out to Donivan's family and friends having to suffer through this uncertainty. Let's keep sharing any ideas and information we have—no matter how small they might seem. We might stumble upon something that helps the investigators piece this puzzle together. And if anyone here recognizes the description of that vehicle, please reach out to Crime Stoppers and help bring some justice for Donivan.
I've been following the case of Donivan Chatman, and I just can’t stop thinking about the trauma that his family and friends must be going through. It's been years, and still no closure. Imagine being so young and losing someone so dear in such a violent way. Every time they walk by that intersection at University and Glasgow, it must bring all the pain rushing back.
What really troubles me is how the third person who was with Donivan and the other teen just vanished. I understand fear can make people do things they'd never imagine, but it makes me wonder if they saw something that could help the investigation. It's crucial for this person or any potential witnesses to come forward, even anonymously, for the sake of justice. Donivan was just a kid with his whole life ahead of him, and he deserves more than an unsolved case. The fact that the police still have nothing to go on, years later, is quite unsettling. Crime Stoppers is offering a reward, and I hope that motivates someone to speak up. Anything at all could be a key piece to the puzzle.
