Hey everyone, I wanted to bring up something that has been on my mind lately about Christian Alexander Lezama’s case. It’s been over four years since his life was cut short, and I keep thinking about the role that social media might have played leading up to that tragic day. From what I’ve read, Lezama was quite active on his social platforms, sharing his passion for music and connecting with his growing number of fans. It makes me wonder if the perpetrators were initially aware of him because of his online presence. It’s heartbreaking to think that something meant to uplift and promote his art could have, in some way, made him a target. I can imagine how exciting it must’ve been for him to share his talents with the world, never anticipating that someone could have been watching with bad intentions. My heart goes out to Christian’s family and loved ones. Navigating this loss, especially knowing how senseless the act was, must be incredibly challenging. Hoping they’ve found some peace, despite everything. Curious to hear if anyone else has thoughts on how social media fits into cases like his in general. Stay safe out there.
