Has anyone else been following the tragic case of Shaksha Powell? I can’t get over how senseless this violence is. She was just in the wrong place at the wrong time, and it breaks my heart to think of her family dealing with this tragedy. It's horrifying to know she was relentlessly pursued and how terrifying those last moments must have been for her. What really gets to me is how these incidents happen far too often, and it feels like there’s no end in sight. I hope and pray that the community steps up and someone comes forward with information that can help. Her family deserves answers and justice. If anyone in the southeast Houston area knows something, anything, I urge you to reach out to HPD or Crime Stoppers. Let’s hope there’s a breakthrough in this case soon. Shaksha deserves to be remembered and honored and for her family to find peace somehow.
