Does anyone have information on Mark Bonner’s family or friends at the time he disappeared? I've been doing a bit of research and noticed that sometimes knowing more about the people close to the missing person can provide new insights or raise fresh questions. Were there any known tensions, or was anyone acting suspiciously in the days leading up to March 20th, 1978? I also wonder if anyone in the Boulder area recalls public awareness efforts back then. Would be interested to hear from locals or historians about the community's response at the time.

Does anyone have any info on the sighting of Mark Bonner by the older man who reportedly saw him on the hiking trail near Chautauqua Park? I've been trying to piece together a timeline for the day he went missing, and this sighting could be a big piece of the puzzle. The details are pretty scant, but the timeline seems to fit. Does anyone know if the man’s account was thoroughly checked out back then or if any searches were conducted in the nearby areas? I feel like this could have been a major lead that somehow slipped through the cracks. Any thoughts?
