I've been following the tragic case of Jose Isabel Rojo-Velasco, and it's truly difficult to comprehend what his family must be going through. One detail that stands out to me is the sheriff's mention of mistaken identity. If Torres really thought he was targeting someone else, it makes the senselessness of the crime even more pronounced.
Jose was working on a barn, probably just trying to make a living for his family, when his life was cut short. It's devastating to think that all of this could have been due to an error or miscommunication. His love for Charreria Mexicana and his dedication to his family paint a picture of someone who was deeply rooted in his culture and devoted to his loved ones. I hope his family can find some peace despite the pain they're experiencing. It’s important for the community to remember the person Jose was and not let his story be defined solely by this tragic event.
