Hey everyone, I’ve been reading up on Deon Mayfield’s case, and it’s so gut-wrenching to see another life lost due to gun violence without any answers. I wanted to bring up something I noticed—that there seems to be little follow-up or updates from the authorities. It’s been quite some time, and there’s still no information on arrests or even suspects. It must be incredibly tough for Deon’s family not to have closure or justice. I can't imagine the pain they’re going through. Why does it seem like some cases just fall through the cracks? Deon was only 39 and had so much more life to live. Does anyone know if there’ve been efforts to keep this case in the public eye, like vigils or advocacy from community groups? I feel like keeping the discussion going is important to ensure Deon isn’t forgotten. Would love to hear any thoughts or insights from folks who might be more familiar with how these investigations work.
