It’s incredibly tragic to think about Decorey McKindley's two young children growing up without their father. I can’t even imagine the loss his family must feel. It's heartening to see the community rallying around them, but it does make me wonder: what concrete steps are being taken to increase safety in those areas of Houston? It feels like Decorey's case is a stark reminder that something needs to change to prevent future tragedies like this. Also, are there any local groups or initiatives focused on addressing gun violence? It would be great to support or get involved with them, just to try and make a difference even in a small way.
