Hey everyone, I recently came across the case of Jorge Figueroa-Oviedo and I can’t stop thinking about the impact this tragedy has had on his family and friends. It must be unimaginably difficult for them knowing there are still no answers or justice for Jorge. I read that he was just 16, so young, and it's so unsettling to know this happened in Houston, in the middle of the night. One thing I keep coming back to is how critical community involvement is in these cases. It seems like everyone did their part to raise awareness back then, but even now, sharing information and keeping the case talked about may help bring new leads to light. Does anyone know if there are still active groups or efforts in Houston focused on bringing attention back to unsolved cases like Jorge’s? I think this kind of local action is crucial. My thoughts are with Jorge’s family. I hope they find the answers they deserve one day.
