I’ve always been intrigued by the part about Rolf's car being found at the Anacortes ferry terminal. It's so strange because it really seems like a staged setup. If he was planning to leave for Norway like Ruth claimed, why would he abandon his car there, especially when you think about how isolated Lopez Island is? It's not like he could just hop on a flight without any belongings or money. Plus, given his history with the shipping accident, I imagine he would have been extra careful about his own moves. It feels like a major piece of this puzzle, knowing he left everything essential behind. I wonder if Ruth thought leaving the car there would keep people from questioning his disappearance too quickly. It’s chilling to think about all the calculated steps and how far she went to keep her actions hidden.
Hey everyone, I've been digging into the Rolf Neslund case and something caught my attention that I haven't seen much discussion about. Has anyone looked into the timing of Ruth starting the B&B after Rolf's disappearance? Turning their home into a bed and breakfast seemed like a drastic move and it happened quite soon after he went missing. I get that it's possible some people might just want to move on or even need the income, but considering all the circumstances, it has always struck me as suspicious. Like, if she was truly innocent and believed he had fled to Norway, would you really make such a permanent change to your home so quickly? Curious to hear your thoughts on this.
Hey everyone, I've been reading through the details of the Rolf Neslund case and something else has caught my attention. Has anyone looked into the impact that the West Seattle Bridge incident might have had on Rolf's mental or emotional state before his disappearance? To crash a freighter into a major structure and contribute to its destruction must have been a huge burden to carry, especially for someone toward the end of their career. It got me thinking about whether this might have exacerbated tensions between Rolf and Ruth. I wonder if the stress from the accident factored into the volatility of their relationship or even perhaps his decision (if it was planned) to leave everything suddenly. I'd love to hear your thoughts or any additional insights!
