I was just reading about Owena McHenry’s case again, and it’s really got me thinking about the sense of safety we all take for granted in our own homes. This poor lady, a pillar in her community and such a beloved figure, had that sense of security violated in the worst way. I can't even begin to imagine the fear she must have felt when she realized her home, where she had lived for over 50 years, wasn't the safe haven it always had been.
What’s truly haunting is knowing her grandson could have been there that night. It makes you wonder about the intentions behind such a vicious act, especially since nothing was taken. The police seem convinced this wasn’t random, which is terrifying to think someone out there targeted her specifically.
It's deeply saddening to see a community having to come together under such circumstances, but at the same time, it's heartwarming to see them united in their grief and determination to see justice served for Owena. I really hope they catch whoever’s responsible soon and bring some peace to her family and the community. Anyone with any information, no matter how small it might seem, should definitely come forward. This shouldn’t be one of those cases that just fades away.

I can't stop thinking about the tragic loss of Owena McHenry. One detail that truly haunts me is the timing of it all.
