Hey everyone,
I've been following the case of Amelia Areli Ponce De Garza and wanted to touch on something that weighs heavily on my mind—her children. It's absolutely devastating to think about her three kids navigating life without their mom. She seemed like such a loving and dedicated person, doing so much for her community and, I can only imagine, for her family as well.
Their lives have been turned upside down, and I can't help but wonder about the lasting impact of this tragedy on them. The support they've received from the Brownsville community is heartwarming, like the tree planted in her memory, but I keep thinking about what more can be done to help them. Does anyone know if there are local initiatives or funds we can contribute to that directly support her children?
Sending thoughts to her family and friends. It's so painful that the investigation hasn't brought any answers yet.
Has anyone else been to the Russell campus lately? I took a walk there today, and it's tough not to feel a deep sense of loss. The tree planted in Amelia Areli Ponce De Garza's memory stands strong, and each time I see it, I'm reminded of her incredible spirit and the love she poured into her community. It's like she’s still reaching out and touching lives, even in her absence. Her case remaining unsolved just adds to the sorrow. I can't begin to imagine what her family must be going through without answers. Sending thoughts and strength to all who were lucky enough to know her. Her contributions to education and volunteering were extraordinary and continue to inspire. ?
Did anyone else hear about the candlelight vigil held last month for Amelia at the Russell campus? I wasn't able to attend, but a friend shared how touching it was. There's something about seeing a community come together to remember a loved one and honor their legacy that gives a bit of solace amidst all this uncertainty. It’s so important that we keep her memory alive and continue to advocate for justice in her case. For anyone who went, how was the turnout? Any updates or comments from attendees? Her family’s strength through this all is incredibly moving, and they deserve some measure of peace and answers.
