I'm still reeling from the tragedy of Spencer Nobles' death and can't help but think about the impact on his close friends at Coleman Junior High. Losing a friend so suddenly and at such a young age has got to be incredibly confusing and painful for them. I read that counselors were available, which is great, but I hope the whole school community gets the ongoing support they need to navigate through this kind of grief. It's reassuring to see the community come together during the candlelight vigil, showing solidarity and love. My heart goes out to everyone affected by this senseless loss. Spencer's friends will surely carry his memory forward in their hearts.
