I’ve been thinking a lot about the impact this tragedy must have had on Miriam’s sons, who were home during the incident. My heart goes out to them, having lost both parents in such a traumatic way. It must be incredibly difficult to process the loss and the events that led up to it. Seeing friends' and family members' accounts, it seems like Miriam was grappling with so much behind closed doors. Situations like this make me realize how important it is to offer support to those who might be struggling in toxic relationships. It’s devastating to think how alone someone might feel when facing threats and harassment, even when surrounded by people who care. I hope her story encourages those who are in similar situations to reach out for help, and for loved ones to remain vigilant and supportive. To Miriam’s children and family, you have the support of this community. We are here to listen and offer any help we can in remembering and honoring her life.
